The Shelburne Inn is Washington’s longest continuously running hotel.   Jensen was commissioned by the Inn and Restaurant owners to develop a long-range plan to update and expand the Inn’s services and accruements.   The existing 15 rooms have been remodeled and enlarged to create ten finely detailed rooms with private baths. Five additional rooms/suites were designed in a historic style. The original porch was enclosed to provide space for an English–Style Pub, a new (handicap accessible) entrance and Dining Room additions. Stained glass panels from Morcombe, England were incorporated in the design to give the building an extraordinary quality. Both the Pub and Restaurant kitchens were demolished and completely rebuilt and equipped. The Shelburne Inn continues to be one of the most popular destinations in SW Washington.
